Label TextAfter his art education with his father, the marine painter Thomas Bush Hardy, and in several European academies, Dudley Hardy specialized in paintings of the Middle East and France. He also won fame for his lively posters advertising theatrical productions and various products. This dancer originally also appeared (without tobacco box) on one of Hardy's Gaiety Girls posters for London's Gaiety Theater.
