Label TextIn the 1950s, Meltzoff produced designs and advertisements for consumer products, often working for Madison Avenue agencies. This self-portrait, in which he styles himself as a huckster flogging items from a peddler's cart, reflects his feelings about this work. Recognizable products—Ivory Soap, Camel cigarettes, Chicklets—are included in the jumble of items.
