John F. Mullins

American architect and printmaker, 1903–1989
BiographyBorn in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Mullins graduated from Penn State University. He launched a career as an architect in 1927, and would build many local homes, as well as structures for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine. In the 1930s, John F. Mullins exhibited block prints of historical local buildings at the exhibitions of the Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts. Mullins also gave prints as holiday greetings to local print collector, Charles Lee Reese.
