Joseph HopkinsAmerican printmaker, 1916–1984

A local artist, Hopkins exhibited woodcuts and linoleum block prints in the annual exhibitions of the Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts in the 1940s. In 1939 and 1946, the Society purchased his prints for the permanent collection. In 1946 his woodcuts illustrated a book of poetry, Inward from the Sea, by Jeannette Slocomb Edwards.
