Budd Hopkins

American painter and sculptor, 1931–2011
BiographyBudd Hopkins (1931–2011) was born Wheeling, West Virginia. He graduated in art history from Oberlin in 1953 and moved to New York. He became part of circle around Marc Rothko, Robert Motherwell, and Franz Kline. His work can be found in the collections of The Modern Museum of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The British Museum, among others. Hopkins also gained fame as a compiler of alien abduction stories.
