BiographyJohn LaGatta came to Cleveland from his native Italy. He became well-known for his images of glamorous women from the 1920s through the early 1940s in chalk and wash, in fashion and advertising illustration and in women's magazines. LaGatta's racy style was popular with both the magazines and advertisers.
