Engelbert Lap

Austrian printmaker, 1886–1970
BiographyLap was born in Graz, Austria, and served in the Austrian army during the First World War His training is not known. He settled in Innsbruck and painted watercolors and produced color woodcuts of Austrian Alpine scenes. He was successful in his lifetime, and his prints were circulated by British publishers in the 1920s.
