Ernest Trova

American surrealist, pop art painter, and sculptor, 1927–2009
BiographyAmerican painter and sculptor, Ernest Trova was born in St. Louis in 1927. He was largely self-taught though his early experience working as a window dresser is considered an influence on his work. Trova is best known for his "Falling Man," a futuristic, faceless, armless humanoid that the artist developed in the early 1960s.
