John Alonzo Williams
American painter and illustrator, 1869–1951
Williams won the George A. Zabriskie prize at the 1927 show of the American Water Color Society; the Shaw prize of the Salmagundi Club in 1934 and 1936; and the William Church Osborn prize of the American Water Color Society in 1946. He was an honorary life member of the Salmagundi Club, the Artists Guild, and the Society of American Illustrators.
