BiographyCarolyn Brady was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1937 and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in painting from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. She began exhibiting her work in the mid-1970s and showed at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York from 1977 through the end of her life. Brady is well known for her photorealistic watercolors of the landscape and still lifes. In 2003, she was commissioned by the Central Park Conservancy for the Sesquicentennial Celebration of the park, and her work is included in the public collections of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among many others.Person TypeIndividual
