American surrealist painter and art professor, Lee Mullican was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1919 and studied at the University of Oklahoma and the Kansas City Art Institute. He was a member of the Dynaton Movement and a member of the University of California, Los Angeles faculty from 1962–1990.
