BiographyHarry Napper, born in 1860 was a British artist and designer. He worked for the textile design firm the Silver Studio from 1893. He stepped in as the firm's manager upon Arthur Silver's death in 1896 and stayed on until 1898, after which he went on to have a successful freelance career, while still maintaining his ties with the Silver Studio. Napper produced a range of very successful stylized floral designs. He sold to many manufacturers, including G. P. & J. Baker and his textiles were popular in France.Person TypeIndividual
