BiographyHerbert K. Bourne was a British engraver, best known for his engravings of works by Gustave Doré. He is primarily know for reproductive engravings—prints based on the work of other artists. His work regularly appeared in Art Journal and was published by the firms Virtue & Co. (the firm that published Art Journal), Fairless-Beeforth (Doré), Blackie & Son, and numerous other British printing firms.
