Label TextThis story revolves around a group of adolescent boys who are planning to rebel against the first woman teacher in their school. She quickly wins them over, and in this scene they are all departing for an off-campus debate contest, as the headmaster wishes them well. Her coaching allows them to win the debate, reenforcing their affection for her.

Tony Sarg left his native Germany and by 1915 settled in New York, where he was a book and magazine illustrator. From his studio in Times Square he then branched out into several other design activities, including marionette theater, toys, puzzles, and the flying helium character balloons used in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades.
