Label TextWinifred Sandys was the one of five daughters of the Pre-Raphaelite painter Frederick Sandys and his wife and model, Emma Jones. From an early age, Winifred and her sisters served as models for their father. They also received artistic training from him.

Winifred focused on miniature painting, often making copies of her father’s paintings. Her work reflects a close attention to detail and is rendered with consummate skill.
