Label TextArchibald Knox was one of Liberty and Company's most prolific designers. In 1899 the Company launched a new "Cymric" line, much of which adapted Celtic imagery. Knox was the primary designer of Cymric products. This buckle combines two elements for which Knox's designs are best known. The first is the overall form - a flattened stylized flower or leaf motif. The second is the Celtic entrelac, or intertwining knot, one of which appears on either side of the top of this buckle.
