Label TextA native of Stuttgart, Germany, and an American resident since 1940, Kahn developed a style that is both abstract representational, making use of the evocative color and brushwork of Abstract Expressionism and the subject matter of naturalistic painting. Such an approach is evident in this field of varying grays from which the "headland" emerges.
