Label TextNoting the success of Edward Penfield’s poster campaign for Harper’s Magazine, the Philadelphia-based magazine Lippincott’s employed Chicago artist Will Carqueville to create a series of promotional posters. For this issue, Carqueville used a multiple image to assert the magazine’s popularity, showing the layered profiles of three lovely young women whose hair colors conform to the rest of the poster's palette.
