Label TextLisa Stillman was the step‑daughter of the Pre‑Raphaelite painter Marie Spartali Stillman (1865‑1946). Like her father, William James Stillman, and step‑mother, she chose a
career as an artist, enrolling first at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Charles Fairfax Murray was a close friend to the Stillman family and knew Lisa from her childhood.
