Label TextThis watercolor illustrates Patterson's costume studies for the musical production Ballyhoo of 1932, which starred Bob Hope and Willie Howard. Patterson also designed the sets. The show was described in the New York Daily News (Sept. 25, 1932) as "a bizarre collection of gags and tunes, with nothing trite nor stale."
