Label TextA respected art critic and historian as well as a painter, Pach met John Sloan in 1906 when Sloan substituted for Robert Henri at the New York School of Art where Pach was a student. Pach was instrumental in organizing the Armory Show of 1913 and worked with Sloan in establishing the Society of Independent Artists in 1917.
