Label TextBorn in Liège, Belgium, Emile Berchmans specialized in wall-decoration. Like many artists of the period, he practiced several art forms and was also an etcher, lithographer, and draughtsman. During the popularity of the "affiche artistique," or artistic poster - which linked fine art to commercial design - he produced posters in the Art Nouveau style.
