Label TextFrom a young age Everett Shinn was interested in the theater, and stage scenes are the subjects of many of his most famous pictures. Shinn decorated David Belasco’s Stuyvesant Theatre in New York, which opened in 1907, and he worked as an art director for Hollywood films between 1917 and 1924.
