Label TextLondon's painting may be named in part for the blue-flowered vine, Morning Glory, that it features. However, with its dark sky and prominently placed scythe, the painting seems to resist its upbeat title. It may reflect instead the dark days of World War II. London would die about two months before the Germans surrendered in 1945.
