Label TextIn 1940 Sloan purchased property six miles northwest of Santa Fe and designed a simple house for it, which is pictured here. Due to its remote location, the house lacked water and electrical service. The artist and his wife Dolly appropriately named the place Sinagua, or sin agua, which means "without water" in Spanish.
