Label TextEnglish art critic C. Lewis Hind reviewed the early exhibitions of the Society of Independent Artists, engaging deeply with the challenging works on display, even going so far as to visit Man Ray's studio in 1919 to better understand his work. In 1921, with Guy C. Eglington (editor of International Studio), Hind selected an exhibition of 50 works from the SIA exhibition to be displayed at Anderson Galleries in New York.
