BiographyAtelier Mourlot was founded in 1852 in Paris, France, and the lithographic printing studio created prints by Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, and Pabli Picasso among many other prominent 20th century artists. In 1967, Atelier Mourlot moved from Paris to a studio on Bank Street, in New York City, and collaborated with artists including Robert Rauschenberg, Francis Bacon, Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander Calder, Ellsworth Kelly, Alex Katz and Claes Oldenburg to produce contemporary lithographic masterpieces. The studio closed in 1999, but this work and the process of its creation remains accessible via Galerie Mourlot.
