BiographyDeville was a French etcher, born in Nantes in 1871. He was active in New York between 1902 and 1914. According to a 1914 article in International Studio, Deville was a French architect and artist living in New York. Fascinated with Lower Manhattan's bridges and buildings, Deville made a name for himself as an etcher of urban structures. When he returned to France, he continued to exhibit in New York. According to some online resources, he died in 1932.
