Frank J. DelleDonne

American painter, 1919–2007
BiographyFrank J. DelleDonne began his formal training in art at the Wilmington Academy of Art and the Delaware Art Center (now the Delaware Art Museum). He continued studies abroad in Paris at École des Beaux-Arts and Académie Frochot. In 1962, a solo exhibition of DelleDonne's work was presented at the Anthea Gallery in Rome, and the artist participated in group shows at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Delaware Art Museum, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, among others. DelleDonne served as the art director for Sanford School in Hockessin, Delaware, and he maintained a studio in his home at 203 Rockwood Road in Wilmington.
