Liz (Lizzie) Wilkins
BiographyLiz (Lizzie) Wilkins, was born and raised in Birkenhead. She joined the Della Robbia Pottery at the age of 15 just after it opened and remained there until 1904 when she left to get married. She drew the designs on the pots prior to their being fired, and then painted the piece prior to glazing. She seems to have been primarily a colorist, as patterns designed by her are rare.
