American printmaker, 1879–1946
BiographyBorn in Baltimore, Hall trained as an architect. He turned to art in his thirties, when he had settled in Boston. Hall studied under William Paxton and Henri Royer. By the 1920s he was a successful etcher of architectural and landscape scenes. He was a member of the Chicago Society of Etchers and the Brooklyn Society of Etchers.
