BiographyAccording to his obituary, Grunwald was born in Louisville and was employed as an illustrator at the Courier-Journal there before moving to New York in 1895 to work as an illustrator for books and magazines. Grunwald illustrated books published by Little, Brown, and Co., Boston, and G. W. Dillingham Company, New York.
