Label TextYeats sketched portraits of his friends gathered around the table in the back yard of the boardinghouse where he resided in New York. His friend John Sloan consulted these for his canvas, Yeats at Petitpas', 1910–14, which depicts the scene there one evening. Dix was a model and miniature painter.
