Label TextOtto Soglow's Little King was a comic strip that used very few words to present - with equally spare linework - the life of a diminutive monarch who refuses to behave regally. His activities gleefully upset the expected order of his court, and the social order generally. Begun in the New Yorker, The Little King moved in 1943 to Hearst's syndicated comics page in Sunday newspapers.
