Label TextThis fragment of an illustrated letter from Sloan to his wife Dolly shows her arriving for a visit with family friends in Pennsylvania. In the text on the reverse, Sloan mentions dining at Reganeschi's (which he painted in 1912), watching the proceedings of the Night Court at Jefferson Market (which he illustrated in 1913), and playing golf with his friend Robert Henri, a hobby Sloan commenced in 1909. When compared with his diary, Sloan's activities indicate that this letter was written on May 26, 1909.
