Label TextStarting in the 1940s, Edward Loper Sr. visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art regularly, and his work was influenced by the modern art he viewed there—in particular the paintings of Pablo Picasso and Paul Cézanne. Loper colors became brighter, and his compositions were inflected by Cubism.
