Label TextBest known locally for his etchings after Howard Pyle's paintings, Bicknell made many reproductive etchings based on paintings by other artists. This etching replicates the Dutch baroque painter Nicolaes Maes' picture of a woman praying before her evening meal. The original is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
