Label TextMaud Tousey Fangel's primary subject - in illustration, advertising, and portraiture - was the young child. She brought her widely-recognized style to this portryal of a little girl appealing for the purchase of Treasury Saving Certificates a few years after World War I, as the national government tried to to make permanent the habits of regular investment in government securities that were established during the war.
