Label TextCézanne produced only nine prints during his lifetime; five etchings and four lithographs. All the etchings date from July 1873 when he and the painter Armand Guillamin, pictured here, were experimenting with the medium. Guillamin is posed under the sign of the inn, Le Pendu (The Hanged Man), giving the work its title.
