Label TextA painter, book illustrator, poster artist, and printmaker, Buhot portrayed the varied street life of Paris, combining various techniques to convey weather effects as well as social commentary. His prints often included the borders that he called “symphonic margins,” which he described as improvisational thoughts. He exhibited his work in New York in 1888.
