Label TextLike the state flag of New Mexico (designed in 1920 and introduced in 1925), Sloan's proposed baseball uniform reflects the Pueblo and Spanish colonial roots of the state. The design on the back of the player's matador-style vest is based on the Zia symbol for the sun.
