Label TextThis work is part of a series based on the artist's father-in-law, Bill. Cast as a muck farmer from a rural town in Ohio, Bill is always depicted in baseball cap, work boots, open-collared shirt and jeans. In this humorously satirical work, Bill and his dog visit a museum where they confront the statue of a "Stone Man" that ironically looks like Bill. Dogs are a favorite subject of the artist and appear in the majority of his works.
