Label TextThis painting depicts Kuerners' Farm in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The Kuerners were neighbors of Andrew Wyeth, and this is one of several studies for the painting Groundhog Day (at the Philadelphia Museum of Art), which depicts this scene glimpsed through the window of the the house.
