Label TextThis poster celebrates the heroics of soldiers Henry Johnson and Needham Roberts, members of the 369th Regiment, known as the Harlem Hellfighters. Johnson and Roberts heroically defended the Allied lines from 20 Germans raiding on the night of May 15, 1918. This poster presents a different take on a recruitment poster—celebrating the heroics of specific servicemen.
