Label TextIn 1934, Hans Hofmann opened a summer school in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The school attracted established artists as well as students, and Hofmann became the center of a bustling art community that included Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Larry Rivers, and Mark Rothko.
