Label TextAfter studying art and serving in the United States military during World War I, Biddle spent the 1920s living as an expatriate artist in Paris. In France he associated with modern artists and collectors, including Marsden Hartley and the Steins, but he also absorbed more traditional influences, as seen here in his depiction of the Three Graces.
