Label TextA native of Illinois, Rollin Kirby studied art in New York and Paris. He was a leading cartoonist for the New York Evening Mail, New York World and the New York Post and won the Pulitzer Prize for cartooning in 1921, 1924 and 1928. He also illustrated fiction, and for this story he depicted a Western tale about prospectors in the Arizona territory whose occasional criminal activities invite the attention of the military.Thomas Starling Sullivant
