Label TextCommissioned by the National Park Service to produce illustrations for a brochure about Little Bighorn Battlefield, Baskin was captivated with the history of Native Americans. Impressed by their history of courage and suffering, Baskin developed profound empathy for Native Americans as the American Indian Movement was underway. He made a series of lithographs of Native American chiefs, including Wolf Robe, a Southern Cheyenne leader.
