Label TextThis untitled drawing appears to be a study for Mother and Child Reading (1985, private collection). The final version is a tondo--a circular painting--with a landscape scene in the background. Will Barnet, well known for his paintings and drawings, creates narratives in tight, linear compositions in a style the artist refers to as "clear-edge." Often these calm, quiet works focus on the family, single figures, or small groupings.
