Label TextThis watercolor must have been a study for an advertisement for Luyna, a Parisian perfume company. The bottles in the background allude to the company's perfume bottles.Little is known about Beatrice Anderson. She was born in Massachusetts and studied at Boston University and in Stockholm. A member of the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts, the Weavers Guild of Boston, and the Massachusetts Society of Handmade Groups, she later moved to Seattle, where she exhibited textile works. Her advertisements and magazine covers are typical of the simplified and colorful designs of the Art Deco style.
